Robot is in the city
Robot PR has won the consumer PR account for In The City - Manchester’s uber-cool music conference and live music festival which launched the careers of Oasis, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys and The Fratellis, to name just a few.
The event was founded in 1992 by Yvette Livesey and her late partner, the legendary Tony Wilson, with a view to encouraging and assisting the evolution of the music industry and this year director Yvette is keen to evolve In The City as a festival for the public too.
Yvette said, “We want to create an authentic festival feel over the three days of In The City 2008. We’ll be putting on the very best of unsigned bands along with some really big names and, given our credentials for discovering the next big thing, we’re hoping to engage with the wider public as well as the music industry.”
Robot PR director Dee Gallagher commented, “We’re absolutely thrilled to be working with In The City at such an exciting time as it broadens its focus with a new consumer-facing programme.”
